First Post!!!

Welcome to the Save Our Greenspace blog! SaveOurGreenspace is a group of Ottawa residents and businesses who want to protect the greenspace along the Airport Parkway. We support public transit, OC Transpo and expanding LRT in Ottawa. However, the City of Ottawa plans to destroy greenspace to construct a train maintenance yard rather than use an existing rail yard that is currently being used for the O-train maintenance. We do not understand why the city will not re-cycle and re-use existing brownfield sites (Walkley Yard), instead of destroying increasingly rare urban forests, fields and wetlands.
